This series recreates the essence of the typical summer day for myself as a child. My group of friends and I would explore the town of Keyport and have the typical preteen summer adventure. The series of photos follow the route that we would typically take along with the pitstops we would hit throughout the day. This sequence narrative coincides with the time of day, beginning with my house early in the morning and ending with my walk home as the sun sets. I specifically chose places where I felt best represented the feeling of growing up in a smaller town as a child. For example, you were able to go from the local baseball field to city portion of the town within a 10-minute walk. I wanted the editing style of these photos to mimic an older digital camera to instill the sense of nostalgia. The use of shadow is used to keep the subject of the photo discrete, giving the viewer the ability to self-impose themselves into the position of the narrator.
